Lamine Yamal Makes History: Teenager’s First Hat-Trick Fires Barcelona Past Villarreal!
Lamine Yamal Scored His First Career Hattrick

Barcelona moved four points clear at the top of LaLiga as Lamine Yamal’s historic treble inspired a 4-1 victory over Villarreal, marking Hansi Flick’s 100th game in charge in spectacular fashion.

The 18-year-old sensation became the youngest player in LaLiga history to score a hat-trick, eclipsing a record held for nearly two decades. Robert Lewandowski added a late fourth to ensure the Blaugrana capitalized on their dominance at the Camp Nou.

Match Summary

While the first 20 minutes remained cagey, the match ignited when Fermin Lopez carved open the Villarreal defense. His pass found Lamine Yamal, who showed veteran composure to slot the ball into the bottom-left corner.

Yamal’s second goal, coming just before halftime, was a contender for goal of the season. After dancing past Sergi Cardona and shrug-off a challenge from Alberto Moleiro, he unleashed a curling strike into the top corner that left Luiz Junior helpless.

Villarreal threatened a comeback early in the second half when Pape Gueye converted a Nicolas Pepe corner. However, the night belonged to Yamal. In the 69th minute, he latched onto a pass from substitute Pedri to complete his hat-trick and restore the two-goal cushion. Robert Lewandowski polished off the scoreline in stoppage time after a lengthy VAR check.

Lamine Yamal officially became the
youngest player to score a LaLiga hat-trick, a milestone that had stood since May 2008 when Giovani dos Santos achieved the feat at 19 years and six days. This clinical display also cemented his status as a 21st-century pioneer of the European game. With his second goal of the night, Yamal became the first player in history to reach 25 career goals before the age of 19 across Europe’s top five leagues.

Flick’s Century

Hansi Flick celebrated his 100th game in the Barcelona dugout with his 75th victory. His win rate is second only to Luis Enrique, who secured 80 wins in his first 100 matches.
